Weed Control

If you have introduced or noxious weeds on your property and would rather see native vegetation win the battle, Habitat Restorations Aotearoa is the boost you need to get your revegetation project humming. We carry out site preparation and follow up maintenance or can arrange to have your established weeds dealt to. Controlling all the usual offenders: introduced grasses, gorse, broom, willow, wilding pines, Darwin's barbery, hawthorn, glyceria, blackberry, etc. using the most environmentally sensitive and economic method for the job.

Our rangers are Growsafe certified and carry NZQA unit standards for safe operation of 4WD, LUV and chainsaws. We have proven health and safety measures and are Sitwise Gold accredited.

Predator Control

Land mammals - our ancestors brought them, now it’s our job to eliminate them. Habitat Restorations Aotearoa establish and maintain humane trap networks to target rats, weasels, stoats, ferrets and possums. Pest control is vital to provide our native species with a chance. Want to see more native birds on your property? Predator trapping, it’s a must(elid)!

Training

Setting up your own restoration group and unsure where to start? Or perhaps you're a new community group who has received 'jobs for nature funding' and you've now recruited some rangers. Habitat Restorations Aotearoa can provide your team or individuals with training of the restoration techniques used by us in the field. We can share the tips and tricks we've picked up over the years, saving you time, resources and incidents! All of the services we provide can be taught by our passionate, experienced and well-trained rangers or a consultation can be arranged with the operations manager.
